After graduating from the NBCC Pre-Employment Carpentry Program in 2022, I was hired by the homeowner to work on the Purple Build. I contributed to this project full time for 1 year and got to experience all of the stages of a new house build. After this home was complete, I went on to work at the Beach House. The interior aesthetic of this home was extremely important and I worked closely with the designers to achieve the look they were going for.
Laborer | Parks, City of Saint John

My primary role as a casual laborer for the Parks Department was to maintain green spaces throughout the city of Saint John. We worked 10 hour days outside in all weather conditions, our manual work depended on the season. It was essential to be in good physical shape and to be motivated to work unsupervised.
Carpenter | Maritime Carpentry | NBCC Work Term
During my work term with Maritime Carpentry, I shadowed Harvey Gesso as we renovated apartment units uptown on Union Street. This was a unique and challenging experience as we were working in old brick units rather than building from new. I assisted Harvey as we following blueprints and mapped out placement of walls and doorways. We framed in the layout of the new apartment units and also had to level the old floor that was off by 6 inches.
